We are all in the tail end of PHASE 2 of the COVID-19 pandemic restaurant reopening process.  We waited a little bit longer than some other restaurants have, taken EXTREME precautions based on our requirements mandated by Governor Brian Kemp and guidance from the Georgia Restaurant Association (with the Fulton County Board of Health) & have made the decision to FINALLY re-open our DINING IN options beginning today, May 26, 2020

For those of you who are ready to DINE-IN with us, things are very different now.  We want to make sure that we can safely welcome your family in & keep our Mondo family as safe as possible.  As many of you know, there is an extensive list of reopening requirements (almost 39) for restaurants.  We are obligated to follow ALL of them in order to open – THEY are NOT optional.  Your responsibility as a PATRON (AND PARENT) is just as important in this re-opening process as our responsibility as a BUSINESS.

First & foremost, IF YOU HAVE COVID-19 OR ANY SYMPTOMS, you may NOT enter this establishment.  In fact, if you don’t feel well, stay home.  You will see this posted on our FRONT DOOR, it’s REQUIRED & it’s SERIOUS. VERY.

YOU MUST CALL AHEAD OR MAKE A RESERVATION to dine in.  If you DO NOT, you will have to wait in your car or outside the restaurant in the parking lot until we have a table for you.  THERE IS NOWHERE TO WAIT INSIDE THE RESTAURANT.  YOU CAN NO LONGER WAIT AT THE DOOR FOR A TABLE AS WE NOW HAVE A DESIGNATED PICK-UP AREA FOR TOGO ORDERS at the front area.

We have only 6 seats at the BAR, 6 seats in the bar area & 5 tables in the dining room. We have 4 tables on the patio (weather permitting) And, we have STRICTLY enforced social distancing measures in place & serving/cleaning procedures in place as well.  If you have “STOPPED BY” to  order take out – you may place your order, but must wait outside in your car or parking lot as well.

We are aware that the dining experience at Mondo may seem a little different (our staff will be wearing masks at all times) & gloves during certain interactions, standing a little bit further away from the table, we may seem a little distant to you – but it must be like that for how.  Please DO NOT take it personally!  WE ARE VERY HAPPY TO HAVE YOU WITH US!!!  We may not be able to spend as much time with you at the table or bar – because limited interaction is required at this time. As restrictions are lifted by authorities, we will make the decision for safety at the restaurant as well.   We hope you will continue to support us!

Many of you, may not be ready for this.  And, we understand if you are not.  It’s OK with us & we RESPECT your decision.  Please RESPECT those who have decided to DINE-IN with us.  We will continue to offer takeout (curbside pick up) andDoordash.com is our delivery service.   We hope you will continue to support us!  

We are very excited to share our NEW Summer Special Menu – we rolled it out CURBSIDE a few weeks ago!  There are several NEW appetizers & entrees available IN ADDITION TO our regular menu – here is a link to our current Menu! The new dishes all have a “NEW” notation next to them!  We hope you will continue to support us!

We also still have a family-style meals (larger sizes) available. They are served in disposable aluminum trays & come in Half or Full pan sizes. It’s a great option for your family meals or small gatherings! We require 24 hours notice on any of those, but it’s a great way to have a Mondo meal in your home & it helps us out tremendously! We hope you will continue to support us!

3.  Order bottles of beer & wine in house or to take home with you.
4.  Consider making a donation to us.  Any amount helps! We have set up aGoFundMe page to make ends meet while we work through the reopening process.
5.  Buy a $25 Gift Certificate for yourself or someone else!
6. Order a larger pan of food for a family meal (24 hours notice).
7.  Please. please, please TIP at least 20%.

We hope you are staying healthy & safe during this challenging time of the COVID-19 pandemic. There is so much information out in our community, county & state – that we wanted to let you know that MONDO is STILL CONSIDERED AN ESSENTIAL BUSINESS!

Due to the Fulton County Board of Health announcement on March 23rd and Governor Kemp’s “SIP” order that began on April 3rd & (hopefully ending on April 13th), the DINE-IN part of Mondo is closed.  We are STILL OPEN FOR TAKE-OUT – you may call in your  order & we will bring it to the car OR you can use our delivery service Doordash.com for select menu items.

Many of you have asked us how we are REALLY doing & if there is ANYTHING you can do to help us during this time – so we thought we’d give you some food for thought on that. There are almost 50 restaurants in the Milton area – all competing for your take-out orders (including fast-food), so we know how difficult it is for your to decide who to order from!

Here’s how you can help us:
1. Order take-out curbside pick-up Mon-Sat starting at 4:30pm.
2.  Order lunch for the following day.
3.  Order bottles of beer & wine to take home with you.
4.  Consider making a donation to us.  We have set up a GoFundMe page to make ends meet until we can recover.
5.  Buy a $25 Gift Certificate for yourself or someone else!
6. Order a larger pan of food for a family meal (24 hours notice).
7.  Please consider TIPPING at least 20%.

We are a small family-run restaurant that is trying to make it (like many others) through this crisis, so we can continue to serve our community. Our plan is to TRYto remain open at this time.

Introducing new items to our New Menu – and Specials every night – experience Eggplant Stack, Zughetti Caponata, Mondo Chicken, Butternut Squash Ravioli & the new Shrimp Entree. No worries, your favorites like Fried Calamari, Garlic Bread Fondue and yes…our Meatballs…are always available!  On the lighter side – our special our new Red Beet Salad, Prosciutto-wrapped Burrata and our new Spinach Salad with warm bacon vinaigrette dressing!  Our award-winning specialty pizzas – featuring our new creation like the Genovese,  & your faves – the Pera Mia, Coventry or if you’d rather – build your own pizzas– are always available as well!  Our gluten-free crust option – can be substituted on any pizza! And, we offer a gluten-free pasta option.  Don’t worry, your favorite Rigatoni Bolognese is still here!

And, we know the Holidays are behind us & the New Year (and School year) is about to begin!  Sign up for our upcoming Wines of the World Wine Dinner on January 18^th at 6:30pm.  Chef Jason Lewis’ culinary creations will be paired with wines that complement and bring out the flavors of each dish!  Reservations are limited & will sell out quickly! Call to reserve your spot!

Mondo is the perfect place for groups (private room), graduation parties (only 4 months away) – (hurry we are already booking) and prom, team and family gatherings.  We will even open up on a Saturday afternoon if your group of 25 or larger wants to come in & eat and drink with us!  We’ll cater your office party, tennis gathering or host you here!  Just give us a call or shoot us an email at guest@mondopizzakitchen.com and we’ll send you our catering menu with all your favorites “party-sized” for your group.

Our Beverage Menu is filled with GREAT prices on familiar wines & some new Italians as well!  Our local, craft beer list has doubled in size and we can’t wait for you to see the new ones from Jekyll, Reformation, Terrapin, Red Hare & Left Hand!  Specialty Cocktails include the Wood-fired Old Fashioned, Dark & Stormy, Paper Airplane, Mondo Mule and Dirty Italian Martini – enjoy refreshing, light, creative spins on your favorites!

We would like to take a moment to thank all of you for making your Holiday Season part of Ours!

If you were lucky enough to join us for our Tour of Italy Wine Dinner… you enjoyed the culinary creations of Chef Jason Lewis – tempting the palate with food and wine pairings from Veneto, Tuscany, Abruzzo to Sicily (and 3 other regions as well)!

Our stop in Montalcino  included a wild boar cranberry sausage pasta with onion, rosemary & nutmeg tossed in

tomato sauce with fresh parmigiana and red wine vinaigrette paired with a Brunelo – yum – or our Piedmont visit included a Carne Cruda filet with crispy capers, mustard & truffle oil, crustino & arugula paired with a Mediterranean blend Casidei Sogno.

A special thanks to Emily from Atlanta Wholesale Wines who assisted with delectable details on each wine and its attributes!
